oil production and consumption
1. Record:
Oil Production: 45
Oil Consumption: 54
2. Summarize: Write a short paragraph explaining the information you discovered and conclusions you can draw. How does this information help you develop a sense of place for the country -- living conditions, social development, use of land or other resources, etc.?
Peru is a net oil importer, it gets most of its imports from the United States, including oil. More research asserted that Peru has a rising exploration which may lead to increasing production and exports of oil. Since a wide range of resources are found in the mountain and coastal area, the Peruvian has been growing. This has lead to better living conditions along with increasing social development with other countries.
3. Contemplate:
What questions does the information raise in your mind. Write down two questions you have based on what you have discovered.
How has life improved for the average Peru citizen because of its economic growth?
What does the government do to help the poor and improve its economy, without its natives opposing it?
